My dad was in the Navy when I was growing up so we moved around a lot. When I was in high school, we moved to the Seattle area and I’ve been here ever since. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to live in a lot of different cities and states, meet all kinds of people and to have so many experiences. But this is home. And I love it here.

I worked for Washington Mutual for almost 25 years before the bottom fell out in 2008. It was hard for many reasons, but a lot of good has come from it. My time of unemployment was a good learning and growing experience. I’ve learned that I enjoy contract work more than I expected I would, so I’m always open to the next adventure.

I learned more about myself, spent quality time with my family and friends, and wouldn’t change a thing. (Well, if I could figure out how to get a decent paycheck without working, I’d do that…)
