Book Review: Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good

The latest in the Mitford series.

Well, don’t say I didn’t warn you. More reviews to follow…

Oh, Mitford…I have missed you so much! How wonderful it is to be able to spend time with Father Tim, Cynthia, Dooley, Lacey and the rest of the neighborhood.

When I received “Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good” by Jan Karon – the latest in her Mitford series, I did the happy dance. And this book did not disappoint…I’m now doing a very contented happy dance, if that’s possible.

Things in Mitford have not changed a lot, but Father Tim is having trouble deciding what he wants to do in his retirement. Fortunately for us, there are many things he can do to keep busy and to continue meeting the needs of the people in his life and in Mitford. And there are many needs – illnesses, deaths, new babies, accidents, new relationships, secrets uncovered…oh, you’ll just have to read it.

I don’t want to give anything away but I was happy to see a few unfinished stories – just like real life – so I’m hoping that this means there will be another book (or several) to follow. I’ll be waiting!

Disclosure: I received a free book from the publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.
